2014 Kids' Summer Activities at the Farm

Kids' Historic Farm Camp is back!

A fun way to start summer vacation! 
Kids ages 5-10 can experience Grantsville history and fun farming activities. Campers will care for farm animals, do some gardening, make crafts and treats, play pioneer games, sing, square dance and visit local pioneer museums. 
Space is limited, so don’t wait to sign up!

Morning and afternoon sessions are available Monday through Wednesday, June 9-11 and June 16-18. 
Price for three-day camps is $35.00 and includes activities, snacks, t-shirt, and bandanna.

NEW--One-Day ART and SCIENCE Camps Ages 8-12

Farm Science--Thursday, June 12 from 10am to 2pm
Summer means science at Clark Historic Farm. The best way to learn science is to feel it, touch it, and smell it. We will explore the science of specific barn animals, crops and more through a variety of hands-on experiences and activities. Each child will bring home a project they have created. Art on the Farm--Thursday, June 19 from 10am to 2pm
Come learn the relaxing art of Zentangle! More than just doodling, Zentangle is a fun and easy approach to drawing with pattern and structure. It is a great way to build confidence in your art skills. Each child will take home a project they have created. Garden Etiquette Tea Party
Good manners do matter at any occasion, but a tea party is the perfect opportunity to learn about proper etiquette.
Saturday, June 14
10:00 am and 12:00 pm
Mothers (or grandmothers, aunts, etc.) and daughters (ages 5-10) are invited to attend.
Fancy dress encouraged.

Memorial Day 2014


Historic Grantsville 5K

Run through history in one of Utah's oldest pioneer towns! Settled in 1850, Grantsville has a rich pioneer history with numerous homes built before the 20th century. In the Historic Grantsville Memorial Day 5K, over 40 historic sites will be marked along the easy, flat course, and
you'll receive a booklet describing each site. Walkers can read as they go and runners can drive by later in the day. Finish line is at the beautiful J. Reuben Clark Historic Farm, a National Historic Register site and Grantsville's newest heritage attraction.

Race check in is at 9:00 a.m. for pre-registered racers, or
8:45 for late registrants. Registration is $20 for first runner, $15 for additional immediate family members. Includes T-shirt and Historic Grantsville booklet.

Enjoy a pancake breakfast, stroll through the farm buildings and visit the cemetery across the street where an 8:00 am flag ceremony will kick off the day's activities.
